This practical mini workshop is an introduction to the Manual Therapy in Movement Series of courses. We will be exploring movement, from a manual therapists' perspective. Getting our clients (and ourselves!) moving is a key part of injury treatment and prevention. However, incorporating movement effectively in to treatment can be difficult and client "exercises" are often given as an afterthought, if at all. There is a better way!
In this workshop we will:
- Define movement from a manual therapist's viewpoint
- Explore using movement as part of the treatment, not just as homework
- Practice practical movement strategies for the foot and ankle complex.
Come dressed in comfortable clothing, suitable for moving in. We will be focussing on the foot and ankle complex, so loose pants or shorts are best.
This event is FREE for members of AAMT (Australian Association of Massage Therapists) and carries 10 CEC points. Please book via AAMT.
